Antique French Silver Cruets Ref 9129
French 19th century Antique French Baroque style cruets in solid silver gilt.
Made in France in the mid 19th century, by the Silversmiths Martin and Dejean who worked in Paris during the middle years of the 19th century.
All three pieces are hallmarked throughout as being solid silver, and all bear the maker's mark.
The cruets are finished individually with symbols of water and wine.
The water cruet has bulrushes all round the main body, with baroque decoration between. The top of the lid is also finished with a large bunch of bulrushes.
The wine cruet has bunches of grapes and vine leaves all round the main body, with the top of the lid finished with a raised bunch of grapes set on vine leaves.
The handles of each cruet are ornate and decoratively shaped.

The tray is richly decorated all round the edge, incorporating grapes, vine leaves and bulrushes throughout.
Two raised Cherub heads sit, one on each side. At each end if a figure, one of Our Lord and one of Our Lady.
Cruets Height 17cm. Tray 31.5cm x 21cm x 6cm deep at the maximum points. Overall weight 1,004g.
