Antique French Ciborium Ref 9050
Small French 19th Century Ciborium made in solid silver.
Ciborium made by French Silversmith Favier, who worked in Lyon and Paris during the 19th century.
This Ciborium is made from solid silver. It bears the French silver hallmark of the period, and the maker's name.
This small Ciborium is richly decorated.
The lid is covered with decoration, surmounted with a cross to the top.
The bowl is gilded. The calix to the bowl is decorated with floral and foliage work.
The circular stem is engraved with small crosses. The central circular knop is decorated with flowers.
The hexafoil petalled base is finished with further floral decoration, with beading round the bottom edged.
Overall Height to top of cross 23cm. Diameter of base 11.5cm; diameter of bowl 9cm; internal depth of bowl 4cm. Overall weight 319g.
