Antique Dutch Gothic Chalice Ref 8215
Antique Dutch Gothic Chalice and Paten with scruple spoon, in solid silver gilt, dating from the early 20th century.
Both Chalice and Paten are made in solid silver and are gilded throughout.
The small calix is finished with decorative work throughout.
The hexagonal stem is engraved in a Gothic design.
The knop has six round lozenges with raised Gothic crosses to finish.
The hexafoil petalled base has the letters 'JESUS+' worked round the petal in decorative Gothic lettering.
The base steps down to the bottom, with lattice work cut out to the edge.
The matching well shaped Paten is also made in solid silver gilt and fits the Chalice well. It has an engraved cross design to the centre.
The scruple spoon measures 8.5cm long.
Chalice height 20.5cm. Base diameter 15.5cm. Diameter of top of cup 11.5cm. Diameter of Paten 14cm. Overall weight of Chalice & Paten 509g.
Complete with original lined, fitted carrying case.
