English Sterling Silver Gothic Chalice, Ref 7840

English Gothic Chalice & Paten in solid sterling silver.
Chalice made by in London, England in 1904, and has the silversmith's initials 'C&SW Co'.
Chalice and Paten are both hallmarked with English sterling silver hallmarks, and both pieces are gilded throughout.
The Calix to the cup is made in decorative Gothic tracery work.
The plain hexagonal stem has a decorative central knop, set with six large coloured stones.
The hexafoil petalled base is finished with decorative work, and is with six further large coloured stones, each in a quatrefoil setting.
The blending well shaped Paten is contemporary to the Chalice, and is made in solid sterling silver throughout. It was made in London 1901 by the well renowned silversmith Carl Krall. It is gilded all over and fits the Chalice well.
Chalice height 21.5cm. Base diameter 13.5cm. Diameter of top of cup 11cm. Diameter of Paten 15.5cm. Overall weight of Chalice & Paten 934g.
The Chalice comes complete with brand new lined, fitted carrying case.
