English Sterling Silver Ciborium Ref 9004
English solid sterling silver Ciborium, made in London in 1963 by Vanpoulles Ltd.
The Ciborium is completely solid silver. It bears the sterling silver hallmark and maker's mark throughout.
The inside of the bowl and lid are gilded.
The lid is surmounted with a cross.
The circular stem has a central knop and is set with several sets of fine beading work round.
The Chalice is finished with a plain circular base, with beading round the top edge.
Overall Height to top of cross 28cm. Diameter of base 13cm; diameter of top of bowl 11cm; depth of bowl 7.5cm. Overall weight 550g.
